#33 SOLD THE BOAT !! NOW IT'S SERIOUS. - 25 JUNE, 2024

WHAZAMMO AND THE GILLIG #33  (Click the "MORE POSTS" link at the bottom to find Post #1)

The pressure is on ! we lost a good 7-10 days of work time massaging the sale of the boat, there was much inefficiency and time wasted chasing leads, showing, and advertising...it's over.

Clear-minded, after this weekend (we are having a yard sale too), it's kick-ass time.  and we are exhausted from the multi-directional razz ma tazz span of places that needed attending, but, now it is all coach, and "where to".

We have a debriefing and passing of information glut to accomplish as indoctrination for the new owners, some Seagulls to worry about a coach to plumb and wire (did I mention countertops and a shower?), a forward door set to close, a mid-coach door set to build, 90 days worth of work, and about 60 days to do it all !

Plus, a radiator change on the tool van, and all of this without alcohol (what was I thinking?), it's a dash to the finish line (in more ways than one).

The upcoming firecracker Home Depot 4th of July sale will finish the buying (pretty much) with the new hot water heater and combo washer/dryer already sitting in the checkout,  the rest is chump change from there, and ALL labor, the July recap tally for month five ought to be close to a final...

Again, for at least the fourth time now... I have to re-state the very big difference in these low-floor design transit buses... to convert them is a gawd awful different thing than a Skoolie or a road coach... very VERY different !  the amount of second thoughts and teardowns to redo are waay too often, should be all completed with the grey/black water drain system tomorrow, and moving on to the water supply.

We are into the "push" part of construction now, all of the purchases are complete, all of the materials are in-hand, and now it is labor time... we are hitting the Jobsite early, and staying late, with no more shopping to do it is build-install-test and design...  looking for our original target date of August 3-10 completion is at least a week off due to the time invested in selling the boat, so, we are working overtime, NEW TARGET DATE is now immediately after the Labor day holiday ends, the kids are back in school, and the roads and RVparks empty out.

Body work will be the last task to complete, the door revisions and window install, got the window assembly today, and installed the last of the drain system (except for the shower), and installed all the hot-cold and inlet water PEX, will add thend valves tomorrow and pressure test, then be ready to lumb to faucets from the valves. .
